More common than L. clypeolaria, with browner cap, contrasted with white edge and darker umbo. Cap convex to flat with age, margin with veil remnants. Stalk slightly swollen at base, shaggy below, with ring that disappears. Covered with yellowish to whitish veil remnants. Gills free, close, white to pale brown with age.
