Nidula farcta — Jellied Bird's-Nest Fungus — Agaricaceae
Tiny, goblet or cup-shaped fruiting body with thin walls, maturing to vase-shaped form, with circular rim, less than a cm in diameter. Shaggy on exterior, grayish to cinnamon within. Immature mushrooms covered with lid that breaks apart. Cup dark inside. Several reddish-brown peridioles (eggs) embedded in gelatinous mass, dry and dispersed by raindrops or animals. No cords.

Habitat: Groups on partially rotting wood.
Scent: Not distinctive
