Cortinarius cf. uliginosus — Marsh Webcap — Cortinariaceae
Small mushroom. Cap conical, becoming convex, slightly viscid. Rather bright brownish-yellow. Covered with yellowish radial fibrils. Gills colored as the cap, becoming rusty-brown. Stalk somewhat taller than cap width, dry, colored as the cap. Mycorrhizal.
Note: The true C. uliginosus has a darker brown cap than these photos.
Habitat: In small groups in deep debris under Douglas-fir and western hemlock.
Scent: Not distinctive
