Cortinarius glaucopus — Bulbous cortinarius — Cortinariaceae
Medium mushroom. Cap convex maturing to broadly convex; surface smooth, viscid, greenish-brown to grayish when young becoming reddish-tan to reddish-brown. Gills lavender, becoming rusty-brown. Stalk stout, tapering towards the top with a distinct basal bulb, purplish at the base, becoming brownish. Veil leaves a distinct ring of hairs on stalk. Mycorrhizal.
Habitat: In small groups in deep debris under Douglas-fir and western hemlock.
