Cortinarius talus —  Honey Webcap — Cortinariaceae


Medium to large mushroom. Cap convex, soon becoming plane, smooth, viscid, very pale beige, darkening somewhat in age, sometimes with yellowish tints. Gills whitish to cream-colored, becoming light brown. Stalk tapering towards the top, with a prominent basal bulb; white, darkening a little in age. Mycorrhizal.
 
 
Habitat:  Solitary or in small groups, in deep debris under Douglas-fir and Western Hemlock. 

Scent: Supposedly with the scent of honey

Spores: Rusty-brown

Season: Autumn
