Cortinarius vanduzerensis — Pointed Cortinarius — Cortinariaceae
Medium to large mushroom. Cap convex, soon becoming plane, smooth, extremely viscid, dark brown with flecks of white tissue at the margin; in age developing radial wrinkles. Gills attached, beige, darkening as the spores mature-brown. Stalk about equal, viscid, whitish and occasionally with lilac tones, taller than the cap is wide. Mycorrhizal.
Habitat: In small groups, in deep debris in conifer forests.
