Flame Azalea -- Rhododendron calendulaceum

A land where strawberries once grew, now given over to new visions, the Crosby Arboretum embodies the idea of possibilities. Here the goal is not to display the greatest number of plants that grow in to the beneficent climate of southern Mississippi, but to restore what preceded the cultivation of domesticated crops that were so life-sustaining to its human occupants for hundreds of years.
