Gomphidius glutinosus — Slimy Gomphidius — Gomphidiaceae
Medium to large mushroom. Cap convex, inrolled at the margin, becoming plane; surface smooth, extremely glutinous, pinkish-gray, duller brown in age. Veil white, sticky, forming a thin ring that becomes darkened by the spores. Gills decurrent, well-spaced, white becoming gray and then blackish. Stalk tapering downward, whitish but bright yellow at the base. Parasitic on Suillus species.
Habitat: Solitary in deep duff in conifer forests.
