Small to medium mushroom. Cap convex, eventually shallowly depressed at the center; surface smooth, sticky, bright rosy-red aging to red-brown. Veil white, sticky, forming a thin ring that becomes darkened by the spores. Gills decurrent, well-spaced, white becoming gray. Stalk tapering down to the base, whitish but pale to bright yellow at the base. Parasitic on Suillus species. Mycorrhizal with conifers.
