Small to medium-sized mushroom. Convex cap aging to planar, depressed, brown center bright orange to brownish, fading with age, velvety. Stalk similar color to cap or paler, smooth, sometimes swollen at base. Gills run down the stalk, forked, orange, somewhat waxy. Saprophytic.
