Springtime - crabapples and oaks

One of the largest and oldest arboretums in the United States, Morton Arboretum has achieved a diversity in its collections that is a testimonial to its history and an adherence to its mission. For the visitor, this variety of native and exotic flora is symbolic of what is possible. Automobile roads render much of the Arboretum accessible and the drive alone is worthwhile. Yet it is when you leave the car behind and begin a walk, whether short or long, that the richness is truly encountered. At Morton, there awaits a tantalizing hint of the astonishing world of plants.
