Mycenis galericulata — Common Bonnet — Mycenaceae
Small to medium mushroom, a large Mycena. Broadly conical cap, maturing to bell-shaped, with central umbo, somewhat grooved, margin tattered with age. Brown to dirty tan, dark center often present. Gills attached, cross-veins when mature, whitish to darker with age. Tall stalk, equal, few fibers, whitish above, brownish below.
Habitat: Solitary, scatter, more commonly loose to dense clusters, on decayed hardwood.
Scent: Not distinctive to a bit mealy.
