Psathyrella piluliformis — Common Stump Brittlestem — Psathyrellaceae
Small to medium mushroom. Convex cap, expanding broadly, sticky when fresh, brown to honey brown, aging to tan, margin covered with veil remnants when young. Gills attached, close, short gills often present, whitish to brownish, becoming dull and grayish. Stalk as tall as cap diameter, equal, sometimes silky, whitish turning darker when handled. Veil whitish, sometimes leaving fibrils on stalk. Saprophytic.
