Lactarius substriatus — Pitted Milk-cap — Russulaceae
Small to medium mushroom. Convex cap, incurved margin, becoming planar, sometimes shallowly depressed, viscid when moist, margin with translucent lines when moist, becoming somewhat striate, staining green where bruised. Exudes white latex, small amounts, color unchanging. Gills close, attached, red to cream or tannish. Stalk equal, orange to red, paler than cap, smooth. Mycorrhizal.
