Pithya vulgaris  — Sarcoscyphaceae


Small cup fungus. Upper surface cylindric aging to flat or somewhat convex, sometimes irregular when old; orange surface, margin slightly wrinkled. Underside margin color similar to upper surface, whiter towards base.  Stalk absent or short if present. Saprophytic.

Habitat: Solitary or groups, coniferous foliage or fallen branches.

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: Colorless

Season: Autumn
