Small to medium mushroom. Conical or convex cap maturing to planar or umbonate, smooth or with streaked appearance, viscid when wet, olive-brown becoming brown or paler at center, dingy at margin. Gills attached or notched, yellow, greenish-yellow, aging to brown. Tall stalk, equal, with fibrils, yellowish above and brownish below, spreading upward, small scales when fresh, smooth above ring, brownish below. Pale yellow veil, leaving slight remnants on cap margin and stalk. Saprophytic.
