Infundibulicybe geotropa — Trooping Funnel — Tricholomataceae


Medium to large mushroom. Cap convex, becoming flat and then broadly depressed; surface smooth, dry, light gray to brownish gray, with darker radiating fibers. Gills deeply decurrent, white, becoming buff. Stalk a little shorter than the width of the cap, club-shaped at the base; whitish to gray. Saprophytic.

Synonym: Clitocybe geotropa
 
Habitat: In spread-out groups (“troops”) or scattered under conifers.

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
